IGH Parks & Rec offers seniors many opportunities to stay active and and engaged at the Veterans Memorial Community Center and find a sense of community and friendship in the IGH Senior Club.

UCare Member Discounts
UCare for Seniors members and EssentialCare members are eligible for one $15 discount per calendar year on most community education/recreation programs including trips! Members simply show their UCare ID card when registering for the trip/class to receive the discount. Members must be enrolled with UCare at the time of the trip/class to receive the discount. UCare Choices and Fairview Choices members are not eligible for the $15 class discount. Other restrictions may apply.
Driver's Ed Refresher Courses
The Driver Improvement courses are open to the public; pre-registration is required. A MN Highway Safety & Research Center certified instructor teaches this class. Those who complete the course qualify for a 10% discount on their auto insurance premiums for three years, according to Minnesota law. First time participants must complete the initial eight hours of training and a four hour refresher class every three years to maintain the discount.

Happy Feet Foot Services - $38
Relax and enjoy a half hour of pampering every fourth Tuesday of the month! A nurse will provide a foot soak, nail trim, foot massage and foot treatment.

Free Blood Pressure Checks
Stop by on the third Friday of every month in the lobby of the Grove Aquatic & Fitness Center for a Free blood pressure check provide by Fairview Health Services.
Indoor Walking Program
3-D Gait Analysis
Improve your posture, biomechanical imbalances to prevent injury, ease pain and/or improve your walking or running speed. Your gait will be analyzed and a set of corrective exercises will be prescribed based on the results.
Who can benefit?
Athletes, those recovering from injury or stroke or anyone who wants to improve their walking or running gait. Analysis is performed by Dr. Greg DeNunzio, DC, BSME Clinical Coordinator- Biomechanics Division Chief of Staff, Sweere Center for Clinical Biomechanics and Applied Ergonomics

The IGH Senior Club is a place for camaraderie, socializing and entertainment, while participating in interactive and exciting activities, including monthly luncheons, weekly card games, holiday party and more! Activities are held at the Veterans Memorial Community Center in the Senior Center (Community Room 2).
2020/2021 Membership: $15/person
Your membership dues support the Club and its work. All current 2020 memberships are extended through 2021. The Club is managed by a Board and in partnership with IGH Parks & Rec. Call 651-450-2585 to sign up or in-person at the IGH Parks & Recreation Office.
Weekly Card Games
Every week the Senior Center hosts several card games. No registration required, just make sure to be on time!
Weekly card games are currently postponed.
Third Tuesday of the month: Penny Bingo
Join us for good food and entertainment on the second Monday of the month. Members receive a discount! Sign-up at least a week prior with the Parks & Rec staff at 651-450-2585.
Luncheons are currently postponed.
Senior Club Book Club
This group is for Senior Club members only and meets every second TUESDAY of the month at 1 p.m. at the VMCC.
Note: Room location will be posted in the VMCC on day of club.
