Current Load Restrictions
The Minnesota Department of Transportation initiated spring load restrictions (SLR) on March 3, 2026. All MnDOT restrictions apply to City streets. To view the MnDOT seasonal load limit map and other information, visit the Minnesota Department of Transportation website.
During non-restrictive timeframes, paved City streets have a 10-ton per axle limit, and all gravel roads have a five-ton per axle limit. However, some county roads and state highways have different weight limits. The City prohibits operation of overweight vehicles on City streets.
