Join us for some colorful fun with our egg hunt coloring contest!
How to participate
- Get your coloring sheet:
- Download and print the coloring sheet at home
- Pick one up at:
- Veterans Memorial Community Center, 8055 Barbara Ave
- Heartland Credit Union, 5500 Robert Trail
- Color in your masterpiece
- Turn it in to the Veterans Memorial Community Center or Heartland Credit Union by Saturday March 28
First and second place prizes will be awarded in each of the following categories:
- Ages 3-pre-K
- Kindergarten-grade 1
- Grades 2-3
- Grades 4-5

Under the direction of the City Council, the City Administrator is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the decisions, policies and goals of the City Council in collaboration with City department directors and their staff. The City Administrator provides overall direction and oversight to department directors to ensure the most effective use of City resources and adherence to City administrative policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications: A degree in Public Administration, or closely related field, and five (5) years of management and leadership experience in the areas of finance, government and public administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A master’s degree in Public Administration or closely related field is preferred.

SilverSneakers at the VMCC
The Veterans Memorial Community Center (VMCC) proudly participates in SilverSneakers®, a fitness benefit included with many Medicare Advantage and Supplement insurance plans. Eligible adults ages 65+ can enjoy complimentary access to the VMCC and a wide range of amenities that support staying active, healthy, and connected.
What Your SilverSneakers Membership Includes
A SilverSneakers membership at the VMCC provides access to:
- Fitness Center: Full use of cardio and strength equipment, stretching areas, and functional fitness space.
- Drop-in Group Fitness Classes: A variety of classes suitable for beginners and active older adults.
- Walking Track: A climate-controlled indoor track, perfect for year-round movement.
- Aquatic Center: Access to the lap pool, warm-water leisure pool, water walking, and open swim times.
- General Facility Amenities: All benefits included in a standard adult membership.
Please note: Insurance-based memberships do not cover personal training, specialty classes, or paid recreation programs.
Want to Tour the VMCC?
If you’d like to see the facility before joining, stop by the community center and check in at the guest services desk for a tour. For the quickest experience, we recommend weekday mornings or afternoons. If you come on a weekday evening or anytime on the weekend, please be prepared to wait a while.
How to Check Your Eligibility
There are several easy ways to find out if your insurance plan includes SilverSneakers:
- Visit: silversneakers.com
- Call your insurance provider and ask if SilverSneakers is included in your plan.
- Ask our guest services staff — we can look up your eligibility using your name and date of birth.
We also accept other insurance-based fitness programs, including Renew Active, OnePass, and others. Eligibility for these programs varies by insurer.
How to Sign Up at the VMCC
To activate your SilverSneakers membership with us, please bring:
- Your SilverSneakers Member ID (or proof of eligibility)
- A photo ID
Our guest services team will create your account, issue your access card, and answer any questions you have. Please remember to check in at each visit to ensure your benefit is applied correctly.
If your insurance coverage changes at any point, please notify our staff so we can update your membership.
