Hwy 52 Pavement Improvement Project begins Spring 2021
Upcoming Weekend Directional Closures of Hwy 52 Closure
If you’re traveling on northbound Hwy 52 between I-494 near Inver Grove Heights and I-94 in St. Paul you can expect a detour for the next several weekends, weather permitting. Plus, you may encounter week-long ramp closures leading up to weekend directional closures.
Closure Planned for Southbound Hwy 52 weekend of May 7-9
If you are traveling on Hwy 52 between I-94 in St. Paul and I-494 in Inver Grove Heights you can expect another detour this weekend; however, this weekend it will be southbound Hwy 52, weather permitting.
Beginning at 9 p.m. Fri, May 7, southbound Hwy 52 will be closed between Plato Blvd. in St. Paul and I-494 in Inver Grove Heights through 5 a.m. Mon, May 10. You can expect to encounter lane and ramp closures to begin prior to the full closure at 9 p.m.
- Detour: During the closure, motorists should follow the signed detour using eastbound I-94, southbound Hwy 61 and westbound I-494 to access Hwy 52.
*Note: Northbound Highway 52 will still require one more closure for the final lift of pavement once temperatures get a little warmer.
Ramp Closure at Butler Ave. begins Monday, May 10
Beginning at 6 a.m. Monday, May 10 the Northbound Hwy 52 ramp to Butler Ave. will be closed. The ramp will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, May 17.
