This event is free and open to all ages, no registration is required. Dress for the weather. Bring money for treats from the ice cream truck!

Movie in the Park

Grab your popcorn, it's time for a movie night under the stars!

• Friday, July 24
• Oakwood Park - 3534 78th St. E.
• Movie starts at dusk (around 8:45-9 p.m.)
• Movie: Bad Guys 2 (PG)

Bring a blanket or chair to sit on, snacks, bug spray, and money for the ice cream truck. Free to attend, no registration required, all are welcome. Please dress for the weather as this event is held outdoors. Entertainment will be provided before the movie; check back later this summer for details.

In the event of severe weather, the movie may be moved inside the Veterans Memorial Community Center. Call the weather line the day of the movie if the weather looks severe: 651-450-2595.

Inver Groove Music in the Park

Join us for free family-friendly concerts in the park!

• Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
• South Valley Park, 2810 70th St. E
• 45-minute musical and educational performances

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a free concert geared just for kiddos. Leashed dogs are welcome; please pick up after your pup. The restrooms shelter at the park will be open and there are changing tables inside. South Valley Park also features a new outdoor playground and paved walking trails; we encourage you to take advantage of them before and after the performance! Concerts are held outdoors so please dress for the weather.

Getting to the Park

Free parking is available at South Valley Park. Overflow parking is available across the street at North Valley Park 2800 70th St. E. Drive past the pickleball courts and park near the ball fields & disc golf course. Follow the paved sidewalk to the tunnel that goes under 70th St. and connects to South Valley Park; it's about a 5 minute walk.

  • Download and print the coloring sheet at home
  • Pick one up at:
    • Veterans Memorial Community Center, 8055 Barbara Ave
    • Heartland Credit Union, 5500 Robert Trail
• Color in your masterpiece
• Turn it in to the Veterans Memorial Community Center or Heartland Credit Union by Saturday March 28

First and second place prizes will be awarded in each of the following categories:

• Ages 3-pre-K
• Kindergarten-grade 1
• Grades 2-3
• Grades 4-5

The egg hunt coloring contest is free to participate in and all are welcome.

Kids Garage Sale

Come find great deals on stuff for the kids!

Local kids will be selling gently used toys, books, sporting goods, clothes, and more. Table registration to sell items is full, but you can add your child to the waitlist. 

This event is free to attend, stroller-friendly, and has free parking. There is no ATM on site; please bring cash (small bills appreciated).
