Construction Update

Paving is scheduled to occur tomorrow 08/26 on Bacon Avenue and Barbara Avenue North of 47th St. 

Residents who live along these streets should have receive a no street parking notice. On paving day, parking will be restricted on the street from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. After 7:00 PM, street parking will be allowed again, even in the posted areas. Please note that this restriction applies only to street parking — residents may continue to park in their driveways and will have access throughout the day, except for brief periods immediately after the asphalt is placed and before it is compacted.

2025 IGH Pavement Management Initiative - Barbara Avenue & 46th Street Area
Construction Update

This Week: (08/18-08/23)
Utility crews continued sanitary and watermain installation along Bacon Avenue, and Upper 45th Street, towards the north half of Barbara Avenue. The sanitary has been install to Upper 45th Street and they are working their way to Barbara Avenue. The water is being installed behind them. Concrete crews began pouring curb in all areas where utility and roadway work is complete. Please be mindful of freshly poured curb and avoid driving over it.

Next Week (08/25-08/29):  
Utility crews will continue sanitary sewer installation along Upper 45th Street and down Barbara Avenue, with watermain installation following behind as a second operation. The road crew will begin tolerancing the road to get it to finish grade in preparation of paving.

Please note that all work is weather-dependent and subject to change.
