Thank you for considering working as a volunteer! The City is excited to offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to support the dynamic Inver Grove Heights community. Are you looking for a one-day event? A long-term opportunity? Do you want to work outside? Maybe you have excellent organizational skills. We would like to hear from you!

Environmental Events & Education
Examples of how you can help may include setting up an event, helping unload vehicles at collection events, or educating event attendees on waste reduction, reuse and recycling, energy conservation or renewable energy. Volunteer opportunities are unique for each event:

  • Youth Sports Coaches and Assistants (baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, flag football, lacrosse, volleyball)

Group Opportunities
Opportunities for area businesses, churches, civic and school groups to participate together. Typically, groups do park clean-ups, planting projects, invasive plant removal, or a one-time project, such as painting a hockey rink or boardwalk. Groups are also welcome to volunteer for events!
