IGH Parks & Rec and our partner organizations offer a variety of sports programs and leagues for all ages and abilities throughout the year. Children learn the fundamentals while having fun. And every participant gets time to play!

Winter/Spring Sports and Programs

2021

  • Learn to Skate: April Sessions (ages 3+)
  • Swim Lessons: April and May sessions (ages 6mo+)
  • Sensory-friendly Open Swim (water features are off) – Registration Required; View schedule.
  • Tennis: April 17-May 8 (ages 4+)
  • RevSports Coach Pitch: Kinderstars: April 21-May 12 (ages 4-6)
  • Archery: May 3-24 (ages 9+)
  • Lifeguard Training (ages 15+)
    Become certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding for pools and water parks, and First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Lifeguard. 
  • Basic First Aid & CPR (ages 13+) – Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
  • Karate  (ages 5+)
  • RevSports Ninja Warriors: May 19-June 9 (ages 5-8)
  • Mite Basketball:  (ages 6-8)
  • Intro to Snowshoeing:  (ages 5+)
  • Swim Stroke Clinic (ages 13+)
  • Pre-Swim Team (ages 8-14)
  • Youth Soccer (ages 5-10)

Heart's Performing Arts: Music Lessons all summer (ages 3-18)

  • Beginning Acting (ages 3-8 or 8-12)
  • Basic Home Recording Camp (ages 13-18)
  • Beginning Contemporary Guitar (ages 13-18)
  • Beginning Singing Lessons (ages 13-18)
  • Ukelele for Beginners (ages 7-12)
Summer Camps(all ages)

Lifeguard Training (ages 15+)
Become certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding for pools and water parks, and First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Lifeguard.

Junior Lifeguard Course (ages 11-15)
Provides the foundation for young adults to transition into being a part of an aquatics team. $125/wk or $495 for all weeks

Short Dance Studios – Mini-Camps

School of Fish: April 26, 5:30-8 p.m. (grades 5-12)
Prepare for the Fishing Season Opener by joining pro angler and fishing TV host Mike Frisch to learn all about fishing! Rod and reel, tackle box, tackle, color workbook, t-shirt and snack pack all included!

Youth Karate Mini Session (ages 8-12) - taken Karate with IGH Parks & Rec before and want to give it another shot? Register for Monday, May 3 at 6:30 p.m. or Tuesday, May 4 at 6:45 p.m.

FREE Water Safety Lessons (ages 6mo+): May 6
Join the VMCC in recognizing May as Water Safety Month and helping keep yourself and loved ones safe in and around the water.

  • Family Golf at Inver Wood Golf CourseThe Executive Course will be set up each weekend (Fridays through Sundays) with a special set of family tee markers and easy pin placements in order to provide the perfect setting for your family to enjoy the game of golf together.

    Fee: Children ages 7–18 play free with each paid adult (who pay the Executive Course green fee).
